Abstract :
Summary form only. We present investigations aiming on the removal of only thin films of a surface layer for cleaning the top lacquer or paint layer together with superficial adherent impurities without destroying the protective function of the layer of the underlying structure. For an automatic operation and fast cleaning of plane surfaces we set up a prototype machine which is based on a KrF excimer laser.
