Abstract :
A novel implementation of the uniaxial perfectly matched layer (UPML) based on the D-H formulations is presented to truncate the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) lattices. The method of direct discretizing the second-order differential equation is employed by the proposed algorithm in some PML regions. Two numerical tests have been carried out to validate these formulations.
