Abstract
The voltage-balancing problem of flying-capacitor inverter limits its application. A novel PWM control method is proposed, which has no limitation of voltage levels and can also keep the devices´ switching frequencies near to each other. Simulations and experimental results are demonstrated to show its validity using a 5-level flying-capacitor inverter.
