Abstract
This work presents a method for modeling and analysis of production systems with emphasis on inventory policy. Based on the structural analysis, it provides basic performance measures, such as throughput and cycle time. Due to this fact, the main goal of this work is to introduce a Petri net based approach to solve the mentioned problem for inventory control. Besides, a timed Petri net based approach for modeling is also presented.
