Abstract :
The product configuration method based on the product platform is one of the effective methods to realize the rapid design of product family. Combining the design theory of product platform and the extension theory, this paper suggests the method of the extension mode recognition of the product platform. By utilizing the extension set theory and establishing the correlation function, the correlation degree between the unrecognized matter element demanded by customers and the one of the platform mode can be figured out. The bigger the correlation degree, the better the two elements are correlated. So we can get a precise and quantitative evaluation result of the platform mode.
