  • Abstract
Summary form only given. High-order harmonic generation (HHG) in gases provides a unique source of high brightness coherent extreme ultraviolet radiation. The availability of sub-10-fs laser pulses with hundreds of microjoules energy opens the way to the investigation of HHG in the few-optical-cycle regime. In this work we investigate the spectral properties of harmonic radiation generated in neon by sub-l0-fs laser pulses. The excitation source was a Ti:sapphire laser providing 30-fs, O.8-mJ pulses at 1 kHz. Sub-1O-fs pulses are generated by the hollow-fiber compression technique.
