Abstract
With the wider application of XML date, how to obtain the necessary information that the users need from massive XML data becomes a significant issue. Group-by syntax is to group the data according to the content of the data; it takes an important part in the SQL language. The grouping algorithm of XQuery is achieved via nested structure, and the efficiency is relatively low. Based on these facts, the article proposes a structure of ABList, establishes the algorithm of ABList and improves the efficiency of XML grouping queries.
