Abstract :
Summary form only given. Thin films of the aromatic diamine molecule TPD and of TPD-arylene copolymers are used as hole-transport layers (HTL) and light emitting layers in electroluminescent diodes (OLEDs). In recent years waveguided travelling-wave lasing in neat films has been achieved for various classes of luminescent conjugated polymers. Here waveguided travelling-wave lasing of spin-coated neat films of TPD monomer, a non-conjugated TPD-DPX copolymer, two conjugated TPD-PPV, and CN-TPD-PPV copolymers are studied. The structural formulae and neat film fluorescence quantum yields of the materials are shown.
