Abstract :
The performance of a fast hopping M-ary FSK satellite communication system operating over a bandwidth reduced from its nominal bandwidth is considered. The bit error probability expressions for this system with ordinary and variable hop combining processing are derived. Signal-to-noise ratio degradations resulting from both combining schemes are presented for an 8-FSK system
