Abstract
The author examines the future possible developments in the field of robotics based on intelligent mechatronics technologies. He argues that, with the prospect of Gbps communication rates within the next 20 years, robotics engineers do not have to consider the limitations of communication technology so seriously when they think of developing new intelligent mechatronics technologies
