Abstract :
The mechanism of interference between two FSK modulated signals is examined. It is shown that the deviation in the instantaneous frequency due to interference causes a corresponding deviation in the eye opening, thereby resulting in a corresponding degradation in the signal to noise ratio (SNR). This analogy is then used to derive the C/I performance as a function of the eye opening. The analysis applies to FSK, MSK and GMSK modulation schemes
