Abstract
This paper describes the HPAED, a hybrid dual DC/DC power converter that has been designed for control applications. The power converters are controlled by a single mixed signal ASIC, manufactured in a low cost CMOS technology. This ASIC allows the HPAED to be at the same time highly integrated, while providing a very flexible programmability. The design has been optimized for high volume production and low cost, while providing a good performance
