Abstract
In this paper, a simple adaptive control (SAC) scheme with exact linearization for current source inverter (CSI) fed induction motors is proposed. SAC has robust characteristics concerning disturbances and the effects of unmodeled dynamics. This paper proposes an SAC for a nonlinear system, that is, a CSI-fed induction motor drive system, by combination with exact linearization. The proposed system can improve the fast tracking of a set of command changes without overshoot and the recovery time of speed under the sudden-load variations is faster than a conventional PI controller. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been confirmed by both simulations and experiments
