Abstract :
This paper presents a control method for a high power factor current source converter, which uses power transistors working with a high switching frequency to reduce the harmonics injected to the three-phase load, while delivering a controlled DC current with small ripple to the load. Special attention is paid to the problem of resonances that appear at the input filter of the converter. Experimental results show that the use of a modulation method with a fixed frequency reduces the oscillations of the input filter, in comparison to methods with variable switching frequency
