Abstract :
Active filters are an effective replacement of passive filters as a means of correcting network distortions caused by power electronic converters. This paper proposes a DSP implementation of such a filter based on the voltage source topology and a self controlled DC bus. It addresses practical issues such as harmonic current reference extraction and PWM pattern generation. Experimental results are provided from a 2 kVA set-up to verify design choices and operation
