Abstract :
The orthogonal division multiple access systems (ODMA) is a new access technique based on exploring the multi-dimensional CAP modulation. The design of the transmit signal presented in early papers [A.F. Shalah et al., 1997] and [A.F. Shalah et al., 1999], is based on applying a mini-max optimization by solving a sequential quadratic programming algorithm. However, the chosen criteria for optimization present some weakness, especially when dealing with multi-sub channel interference. In this paper, we present an analytical approach to design transmit and receive filters used in the ODMA system. We provide the conditions that have to be satisfied to obtain a perfect reconstruction at the receiver side. Finally, to deal with channel distortion and noise, we propose to compute the receive filters by minimizing the minimum mean square errors (MMSE). Some simulation results are presented to support the proposed approach.
