Abstract
Increasing efficiency of flue gas cleaning from pulverized fuel ash particles on the existing equipment is an important ecological and engineering problem. The idea of redesigning the available gas-cleaning equipment and optimizing its normal operational characteristics is a priority for some economic reasons. In the long run these measures will make it possible to comply with the established standards of pollutant emissions. Various approaches to venturi scrubber optimization by experimental and numerical modeling of processes occurring in actual operating units are considered in the paper. The analysis of the problem is given and the results obtained in optimizing the venturi scrubber are presented.
