Abstract :
Joint tactical missions typically require simultaneous operations of multiple collocated combat net radios to support different commands during troop deployment. However, self interference among collocated Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) radios on Navy shipboard platforms can severely limit SINCGARS communications performance. This paper evaluates an approach for mitigating collocation interference on shipboard platforms. The paper also determines performance parameter requirements that provide satisfactory operation of SINCGARS radios in the shipboard environment
