Abstract :
In this paper we examine the behavior of a thin film of a perfectly conducting liquid that flows along a vertical wall, when it is subjected to a normal, uniform, electric field. The classical results, corresponding to the absence of electric field are revised, and some new terms of electrical origin are included. We describe the procedure to simplify and numerically solve the resulting system of nonlinear equations. This problem is of interest in some technical devices, as it can help to destabilize films in two phase exchangers
