Abstract :
In the paper particular requirements for the automation of a typical calibration laboratory are presented. Emphasis is on laboratories performing high level calibrations, where the final stage of a calibration process is an issue of a calibration certificate. A temperature calibration laboratory based on transfer reference standards and performing calibrations by comparison is discussed.
