Abstract :
In order to improve traffic safety, it is important to reduce driver´s reaction time during emergency braking. Practice on an autodrome outfitted with special sets of equipment is one of the methods of reducing driver´s reaction time. In doing so, it is necessary to determine driver´s reaction time in the first place. The present article describes a methodology to determine driver´s reaction time in real-life environment by creating obstacles through the use of an anthropomorphic dummy placed in the line of a vehicle.
