Abstract
Discrete-time sliding mode control (DSMC) is a robust technique specially designed for digital controllers. The major control algorithms proposed in literature are relatively complex and need high performance microprocessors for implementation. In this paper, an easy-to-implement robust discrete-time sliding mode controller that not requires a high performance microprocessor is proposed and comparative simulations with a published controller on an inverted pendulum process are given to present its features.
