Abstract :
In conclusion, we have developed a novel method of combining two binary phase hologram (BPH)´s in order to increase diffraction efficiency and SNR by suppressing the unwanted diffraction orders effectively. The combined binary phase hologram (CBPH) acts as a multi-level phase hologram, but the fabrication of CBPH is much easier than multi-level phase hologram. Further research on applications of CBPH to programmable optical interconnection and image processing in conjunction with spatial light modulators (SLM) is in progress in our laboratory
