Abstract
Models is an important tool to analyze WLAN´s (Wireless Local Area Network) performance. There are two faultinesses in the current analytical models for the MAC delay in DCF (Distributed Coordination Function), so these models are not accurate. This paper proposes an accurate model to analyze the MAC delay for DCF, which considers the backoff counter decreasing time and the packet without waiting´s MAC delay. The analytical results indicate that the proposed model is more accurate than the current models.
