Abstract :
With the upgrade of avionics system integration, the requirements to huge throughput, low latency and high reliability of communication network have become so urgent, that the traditional Aircraft Data Networks (ADN) cannot meet the requirements. In this paper, a brief analysis to the next-generation ADN protocol--avionics full duplex switched Ethernet (AFDX) and construction of end system and AFDX switch are presented, and then, based on OPNET platform, a typical simulation of AFDX network system is given for its real-time performance.
