Abstract :
Two algorithms are proposed to control chaotic dynamics of a semiconductor laser with external optical feedback. The first one is the method of a sinusoidal high frequency modulation to the injection current of the laser. As an alternative method for the injection current modulation, a second external optical path is introduced to the compound cavity laser. Numerical simulations for both algorithms are performed and the results verify the effectiveness of the chaos control
