Abstract :
Structural Analysis is an important professional foundation course for civil engineering specialties. The teaching quality of the course affects the study and application of follow-up specialized course directly. Based on the course instruction experiences in America and China, we analyze the differences in teaching method of the course between the two countries. At the end of this paper, we provide some advices on teaching method reform in the aspects of emphases illustration, individual instruction, capacity building and evaluation system.
