The Theory-Building and Scaling of the Sense of Alienation

Objective: To develop a sense of alienation scale of Chinese adults. Process: defining the construct of alienation, based upon previous researches and empirical analysis, designed a preliminary questionnaire to measure adults´ sense. The questionnaire items were collected by experts and validity assessment. Results: The alienation scale structure is composed of four second-order factors and nine first-order factors. The theoretical system of alienation constructed in the study is more reasonable, and the sense of alienation scale has better reliability and validity.
