Abstract
Rule set is used in many rule engines as the rule model structure. Such kind of model is insufficient in describing some operation logic with explicit sequence. This paper aims to categorize the business rules from three dimensions including rule sequence, context object and condition fragility. And the impact of these characteristic to rule model, language and algorithm is discussed. A hybrid rule flow structure is proposed to meet all of these requirements. Air cargo loading is adopted as the case study to show the hybrid rule engine technology.
