Information resources planning based on enterprise architecture

With the development of informationization in Chinese enterprises, they have to face some challenges derived from complex technology and management. How to manage information resources, use IT effectively, realize IT value, and align IT with business is the big objective and issue of every organization. information resources planning is the foundation of informationlization. After introducing the theory and method of IRP, this paper describes a new IRP methodology based on systematic thinking, which is enterprise architecture. An IRP approach based on EA is presented in detail in the paper. And a case study on a Chinese manufacturer is made as an example to illustrate this approach.
