  • Abstract
    In this paper, a kind of digital PID controller for brushless DC motor drive is proposed and implemented. The control architecture consists of double closed-loop control namely the speed control and current control. A digital incremental PID algorithm which makes the control system more flexible, robust and high performance is presented and applied in this control system. It is implemented and verified on the AVR microcontroller for the purpose of achieving a fully digitized hardware design scheme. In order to reduce the size of control system and simplify the system´s implementation, the integrate power module (IPM) is using in this system. The system´s realization and the design method of system´s hardware and software are introduced in this paper. Finally, experiments has been done to verify the validity of the propose method.
