Abstract :
A new version of the CMOS active inductor, namely ´boot-strapped inductor´, is presented. A small signal model has been used to optimize the design for 5-6 GHz applications. The criteria for an accurate design have been discussed. The circuit simulations have shown a wide design space for very high quality factor equivalent inductors (up to a few hundreds).
