Abstract :
Service is critical to sustainable development of enterprises. However, service has just started in Chinese manufacturing enterprises. Many service innovations were failure, or proved to be less successful. At the same time, some, though are minority, do contribute a lot to the development of enterprises. Why? In order to answer this question, a fit framework of service innovation of Chinese manufacturing enterprises with the characteristics of entrepreneurs at the core was built based on the literature review. A case of service innovation, named service industrialization of Dalian Sanyo Cold Chain Co., Ltd was used to test and verify the framework constructed. The analysis demonstrates entrepreneurs play core roles in Chinese manufacturing enterprises. And fits between innovations themselves and external and internal environment, which are shaped by entrepreneurs, determine the success or failure of service innovation.
