Abstract :
A simple semi-analytical model which allow to estimate the propagation delay of an RC-chain with a linear input is presented. The model has been extensively validated through circuit simulations. In particular, over 1000 different RC-chains were considered and simulated demonstrating the accuracy of the proposed model with respect to the most widely used Elmore delay metric.
