Abstract :
For spectroscopy of the /sup 2/S/sub 1/2 /-/sup 2/D/sub 5/2/ transition of Yb/sup +/, we are developing a laser-diode spectrometer composed of a master laser locked to a high-finesse cavity, a phase-locked offset laser for frequency scanning, and a frequency doubler. We detected the 6S-8S two-photon absorption of Cs to improve a long-term stability of the spectrometer.
