Abstract
Process migration in the RHODOS operating system has been designed to utilise many different strategies and hence to allow their comparison. Copy on reference is one strategy that can be employed to transfer the address space of the migrant process. The report details research into the design, implementation and performance of RHODOS´ copy on reference process migration. Emphasising the modular yet efficient design with which copy on reference process migration in RHODOS takes as little as 96.8 ms to migrate a 100 kilobyte process, whereas using direct copy process migration on the same process takes 275.1 ms
