Abstract :
Biometric information saved as templates in databases and being transmitted through insecure channels requires more secure and reliable means of protection. The proposed method of watermarking enhances the security of even unencrypted version of biometric data. Besides the protected template itself has to be accurate, invariant to translations, rotations, scaling and deformations as well as computationally efficient in order to obtain high performance of the system. Wavelet transformation followed by Fourier-Mellin transformations result in invariant future vector as a template.
