Abstract :
In this paper a sub-optimal solution that extends one-dimensional (1D) signal adapted filter bank design procedure, to two-dimensional(2D) nonseparable and separable signal adapted filter banks is proposed. Here for the nonseparable case, a cascade structure is used for the factorization of 2D Paraunitary (PU) polyphase matrix. For the separable case, 2D polyphase matrix is split into separable factors. In both cases simulation is done using iterative greedy algorithm. Simulated responses match closely with the ideal responses.
