Abstract
This paper describes a pulse coded cellular neural network employing a pulse-stream arithmetic. A behavior of the network has been demonstrated employing a simulation program for a halftoning of a grey-level image as an example. Also, a hardware implementation for the network is proposed. As a result, the proposed pulse coded cellular neural networks has the same operation which can be observed from an analog cellular neural networks
