Abstract
In Bordeaux, since 2009, the common first year of health studies is open to 3000 students and concludes with an examination that less than 700 of them will succeed (to become a doctor, a dentist, a pharmacist, a midwife, a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, psychomotor, radiographer or podiatrist). To enable all students to take courses in a fair way, we had to implement a system that can replay courses in four theaters. To re-humanize the first year, students can communicate with teachers using a forum. We present the constraints of the first year of study and how educational technologies have enabled us to meet this challenge.
