Abstract :
The model of shaded satellite communication link with common Rayleigh fading for transmit antennas at the terminal is considered. The achievable rate for multiple user scenario is calculated for two detection schemes at the receiving end on-board satellite-joint detection and independent detection. The influence of system parameters such as the number of antennas employed by the user terminal and the number of users transmitting simultaneously on the channel capacity is analyzed.
