Abstract :
Project portfolio is a firm´s collection of projects that are simultaneously implemented, which share a common strategic purpose and the same scarce resources. Project portfolio schedule is extremely complex because of resources competition and conflict. Based on the introduction to the theory of constraints, it is discussed that the theory of constraints is applied to the project portfolio management. The paper analyzes concept of critical chain project management and rules of buffer in critical chain, and then put forward the methods and process of designing critical chain project portfolio scheduling.
