Abstract
Systems designed for high-speed data transmission in fixed wireless communications must combat multipath fading as well as intersymbol interference (ISI). The effects of these impairments on transceiver design are evaluated. The system architecture of a Reed Solomon (RS) encoder concatenated with inner trellis code and adaptive Tomlinson-Harashima (1971) precoder in time-division-duplex (TDD) radio system is described. The performance of such a system is evaluated and analyzed.
