Abstract :
Cultural integration has an important effect in improvement of joint venture management efficiency and enhancement of enterprises performance. Different from previous research that focused on the model and stage of cultural integration, this study focuses on the key factors influencing cultural integration. Through a case study of a Sino-Italian joint venture, this article applied grounded theory to extract the key factors affecting cultural integration. The study indicated that national culture, corporate culture, leadership characteristic, staff characteristic and organizational characteristic were the five main categories of grounded model. The research results are expected to provide reference for other Sino-foreign joint ventures in cultural integration management.
