Research on performance evaluation of listed companies of China´s refrigeration and air conditioning industry based on DEA-Malmquist

This thesis analyses data from year 2009 to 2011 for the listed companies of refrigeration and air conditioning industry, and it studies the performances of the companies. Using the Factor Analyses approach, this thesis establishes an indicator system for the performance evaluation of the industry. Meanwhile, it does horizontal analysis and vertical analysis based on DEA for the variable returns to scale model and Malmquist Index respectively. The empirical studies indicate that during the past three years the overall performance of the refrigeration and airconditioning industry of China has not been satisfactory since the domestic market is already saturated, which means that the whole industry is facing the problem of excess capacity. At the end of this thesis, it put forwards some proposals for the status quo of this industry.
