Abstract
The paper uses an interpretivist research strategy to investigate learning in the network form of organisation. It considers the use of an electronic communication system supporting a distributed work process to explore an evolving electronic social space. A cognitive perspective on learning is used to identify patterns of behaviour that emerge on the electronic group meetings of a network form, COMNET-IT. Following an analysis of the behaviours, the paper concludes with a discussion of the implications electronic group support may have for learning
