Abstract
The mode of time controlling is put forward to solve the problems that the owner´s management ability is too weak to control the project effectively in the progress control for large-scale construction project. The connotation and workflow of time controlling are introduced, stressed that the management system which is under the premise of quality assurance should be set up at the core of progress plan. The methods of time controlling are presented, namely, the planning, controlling and coordination for the project progress. In order to ensure the efficient management of large-scale construction project, measures are elaborated from the perspectives of organization, economy, contract, technology and information management.
