Abstract
The phenomenon of low resource utilization, high security risk and serious ecological damages makes the copper mineral resources increasingly scarce and the environment worse. As a result of the improper mining, copper resource that an important amount of strategic resources is constantly reducing, so looking for the sustainable operation strategy is imminent. Although scholars have used many methods to study the copper metallurgy chain, the most strategies are qualitative or not direct for copper metallurgy industry chain. This paper intends to adopt the system dynamics method to study the copper metallurgy chain, and then puts forward some measures to achieve sustainable development, improving the utilization of resource recovery, improving the copper metal products deep processing ratio, improving the comprehensive utilization of copper ore by-products, abating waste emission, enhancing the overall coordination between the economic and environmental, and so on.
