Abstract
One of the means for pulse compression in radar receiver is the phase subpulse modulation at the transmitter side. The paper proposes an estimation method for an unknown sequence used for phase subpulse modulation, which is very important in radar jamming applications. Pulses are detected in the received signal, which are later used for evaluating the covariance matrix. It has been shown that the sequence can be reconstructed from the first two eigenvectors of this matrix
