Abstract :
The paper, based on the data of the total energy consumption and total export trade of Beijing from 1980 to 2009, empirically analyzes the relationship between Beijing energy consumption and export trade by utilizing the co-integration theory and Granger Causality Test and building the error correction model. The analysis result shows that there exists a co-integration relationship between Beijing energy consumption and export trade, that is, a long-term balanced state. Besides, the energy consumption change is the cause of the change of export trade scale, which illustrates Beijing energy consumptions have a certain role in promoting the export trade. Therefore, Beijing should balance the relationship between energy consumption and export trade based on guaranteeing sound and rapid economic development, so as to guarantee the sound development of export trade on the premise of ensuring energy safety.
